United States Patent

A waterproof footwear pocket which protects various small items from exposure to water while being secured in a pocket on a shoe. The waterproof footwear pocket generally includes footwear having a water-proof pocket positioned along an outer surface thereof. The pocket includes a main body having an opening leading to an internal cavity. A closure member is provided to selectively open or close the opening so that an object may be positioned therein. The closure member may include a sealant to further prevent water incursion. A flap is provided which may be selectively lowered over the main body of the pocket to cover the opening. Using the present invention, an object such as a key fob may be safely protected from water damage by being placed within the pocket when activities such as water sports which carry a high risk of water exposure are being per- formed.
